Why Choose a Denturist?

Why see a Denturist? A Denturist is someone who has been trained specifically to fit and fabricate dentures. In Canada, to be a Denturist you must have graduated from an accredited denturist school and, completed provincial board examinations. Denturists in Manitoba are governed by the Denturist Association of Manitoba and the Denturist Association of Canada.

A Denturist works with dentures all day, every day. Unlike other dental professionals, Denturists are there every step of the way. Denturists are the only dental professionals specifically trained in both clinical and laboratory procedures. As a result, they are more familiar with all of the aspects of making a perfect set of dentures, regardless of the mouth involved.

No referral is necessary and we offer free consultations & Second Opinions. We work closely with several dental specialists and are more than happy to work with your dentist on your behalf.

“The Denturist Technology Program prepares Denturists with the theoretical, technical, and clinical experiences required to assess, design, fabricate and insert complete, partial, or any kind of removable prostheses and to provide effective communication with patients regarding treatment options and care”. Important Facts to Remember

*If the individual who is making your denture does not have their denturist license displayed, ask to see it and remember that only a qualified professional should be performing any oral examinations, taking impressions, and measurements of your mouth.

*Cheaper does not always mean better.  Just because someone is offering you dentures at a lower price than a professional denture clinic ask yourself these questions.

1) Are they qualified?

2) Do they have experience?

3) Are they using quality materials?

4) Do they offer a warranty?

Denturists in Manitoba follow the Manitoba Denturist Association Fee Guide. We at Minuk and Koster Denture Clinic follow this guideline and also offer affordable payment plans and the Best Price Guarantee. If you are given a written estimate from another clinic, we will happily match or beat that price provided it is for the same treatment plan. (Estimate should be presented to Denturist at the time of your consultation before starting treatment).
